99 The SliTaz GNU/Linux is an international association based in
100 Switzerland and respects the Swiss Civil Code. The association is
101 comprised of a committee and members and provides financial and
102 staff remuneration. Members meet once a year at a general meeting and
103 decide for example, the activities of the association or the membership
104 fees. Each member has a right to vote on individual proposals and can
105 use the hardware (inc. cdrom, T-shirts) of the association to help setup
106 a working group to organize events.

109 The project takes on the scale and demands of the
110 professional world more and more frequently and the creation of the
111 association is seen as something of a necessity. We chose an association
112 economic model to meet the needs of the project and also provide solid and high
113 quality services to our users and business partners who wish to sponser
114 the project.

124 <h3>Current objectives</h3>

126 SliTaz is a project using the open development model and all the
127 work is done by a community of volunteers. Our goal is to improve and
128 provide better organization of contributions. The project's
129 friendliness, support, update sites, maintenance services, technical
130 support and management teams are topics that we would like to
131 address and professionalize.

134 To achieve this, we would ideally like 1 or 2 developers
135 to work part-time or full-time on SliTaz. They would have
136 the responsibility to consolidate and optimize existing systems while
137 dealing with new demands. The various sub-projects would also be more
138 dynamic and would see new features published much more frequently.

144 The association is open to any persons. Becoming a member
145 allows you to support the project and ensure its sustainability through an
146 annual fee.
