93 The SliTaz GNU/Linux is an international association based in
94 Switzerland and respects the Swiss Civil Code. The association is
95 comprised of a committee and members and provides financial and
96 staff remuneration. Members meet once a year at a general meeting and
97 decide for example, the activities of the association or the membership
98 fees. Each member has a right to vote on individual proposals and can
99 use the hardware (inc. cdrom, T-shirts) of the association to help setup
100 a working group to organize events.

103 The project takes on the scale and demands of the
104 professional world more and more frequently and the creation of the
105 association is seen as something of a necessity. We chose an association
106 economic model to meet the needs of the project and also provide solid and high
107 quality services to our users and business partners who wish to sponser
108 the project.

118 <h3>Current objectives</h3>

120 SliTaz is a project using the open development model and all the
121 work is done by a community of volunteers. Our goal is to improve and
122 provide better organization of contributions. The project's
123 friendliness, support, update sites, maintenance services, technical
124 support and management teams are topics that we would like to
125 address and professionalize.

128 To achieve this, we would ideally like 1 or 2 developers
129 to work part-time or full-time on SliTaz. They would have
130 the responsibility to consolidate and optimize existing systems while
131 dealing with new demands. The various sub-projects would also be more
132 dynamic and would see new features published much more frequently.

138 The association is open to any persons. Becoming a member
139 allows you to support the project and ensure its sustainability through an
140 annual fee.

145 a copy of the statutes. The minimum contribution was set at 40 Euros for
