98 The SliTaz GNU/Linux is an international association based in
99 Switzerland and respects the Swiss Civil Code. The association is
100 comprised of a committee and members and it can have financial and
101 staff remuneration. Members meet once a year at a general meeting and
102 decide for example, the activities of the association or the membership
103 fees. Each member has a right to vote on individual proposals and can
104 use the hardware (inc. cdrom, T-shirts) of the association to help setup
105 a working group to organize events.

108 The project takes on the scale and demands of the
109 professional world more and more frequently and the creation of the
110 association is seen as a necessity. We chose an association economic
111 model to meet the needs of the project and provide a solid and high
112 quality service to our users and business partners who wish to sponser
113 the project.

122 <h3>Current objectives</h3>

124 SliTaz is a project using the open development model and all the
125 work is done by a community of volunteers. Our goal is to improve and
126 provide better organization of contributions. The project's
127 friendliness, support, update sites, maintenance services, technical
128 support and management teams are topics that we would like to
129 address and professionalize.

132 To achieve this, we would ideally like 1 or 2 developers
133 to work part-time or full-time on SliTaz. They would have
134 the responsibility to consolidate and optimize existing systems while
135 dealing with new demands. The various sub-projects would also be more
136 dynamic and would see new features published much more frequently.

142 The association is open to any persons. Becoming a member
143 allows you to support the project and ensure its sustainability through an
144 annual fee.

149 a copy of the statutes. The minimum contribution was set at 40 Euros for
