1 Strace is a system call tracer, i.e. a debugging tool which
2 prints out a trace of all the system calls made by a another
3 process or program.
4 The program to be traced need not be recompiled for this, so
5 you can use it on binaries for which you don't have source.
7 System calls and signals are events that happen at the user
8 or kernel interface.
9 A close examination of this boundary is very useful for bug
10 isolation, sanity checking and attempting to capture race
11 conditions.
