1 The Ristretto Image Viewer is an application
2 that can be used to view, and scroll through images.
3 It can be used to run a slideshow of images,
4 open images with other applications like an image-editor
5 or configure an image as the desktop wallpaper.
7 The image types supported by Ristretto are those
8 supported by the gdk-pixbuf library.
9 This library itself supports a number of basic image types
10 (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, etc.), but then relies on optional
11 libraries to extend the range of supported image types.
12 This means that you will have to install these libraries
13 yourself to extend the range of image types supported by
14 Ristretto.
15 Examples: libwmf, libopenraw, libavif, libheif, libjxl,
16 librsvg, webp-pixbuf-loader.
