109 The SliTaz GNU/Linux is an international association based in
110 Switzerland and respects the Swiss Civil Code. The association is
111 comprised of a committee and members and provides financial and
112 staff remuneration. Members meet once a year at a general meeting and
113 decide for example, the activities of the association or the membership
114 fees. Each member has a right to vote on individual proposals and can
115 use the hardware (inc. cdrom, T-shirts) of the association to help setup
116 a working group to organize events.

119 The project takes on the scale and demands of the
120 professional world more and more frequently and the creation of the
121 association is seen as something of a necessity. We chose an association
122 economic model to meet the needs of the project and also provide solid and high
123 quality services to our users and business partners who wish to sponser

134 <h3>Current objectives</h3>

136 SliTaz is a project using the open development model and all the
137 work is done by a community of volunteers. Our goal is to improve and
138 provide better organization of contributions. The project's
139 friendliness, support, update sites, maintenance services, technical
140 support and management teams are topics that we would like to
141 address and professionalize.

144 To achieve this, we would ideally like 1 or 2 developers
145 to work part-time or full-time on SliTaz. They would have
146 the responsibility to consolidate and optimize existing systems while
147 dealing with new demands. The various sub-projects would also be more
148 dynamic and would see new features published much more frequently.

154 The association is open to any persons. Becoming a member
155 allows you to support the project and ensure its sustainability through an
156 annual fee.

190 There are various ways to financially support the association, become
