142 The SliTaz contributor team is pleased to announce the immediate
143 availability of the first release candidate for SliTaz 4.0. SliTaz can
144 boot in 10-12 second on fairly new hardware and with the new 4in1 ISO
145 you can install a full SliTaz desktop with only 48MB of RAM. The 4in1
146 ISO is able to auto detect the memory and boot SliTaz in text mode, in
147 a minimal X environment or a full desktop.

151 repository and the RC serie let us track last bugs. From our last Cooking

167 built with our new and fresh packages from cookutils. Cookutils is one of
168 the new generation of tools to build SliTaz packages and provides a Build
169 Bot with a nice web interface that works out-of-the-box on any SliTaz
170 system. These new packages have been built with a new i486 optimized
171 toolchain.

174 The full boot process has been improved and the first boot configuration
175 is now done through GTK boxes in a X session and the boot time is also
176 faster. This version comes with a new GUI tool for system configuration
177 as well as our new system configuration panel aka TazPanel. TazPanel

179 (useful for remote control) and it also handles package management and
180 replaces the old GTK box.

196 The SliTaz team is pleased to announce the release of a new cooking
197 ISO featuring over 2900 packages. All packages have been rebuilt using
198 our new cooking tool, now included in tazwok. It contains Linux Kernel
199 2.6.37 compiled against glibc 2.13, binutils 2.21 & gcc 4.5.2. The Core
200 LiveCD includes Midori 0.3.3. Tazpkg is now entirely translated to
201 French and we are open to additional translations. Tazwok has been
202 entirely rewritten and it's now possible to recook SliTaz from Scratch
203 using any ISO. This ISO is the first of a release candidate series which
204 leads us to a stable 4.0 release.

207 A lot of work has been done since our last cooking ISO released in november:
208 more than 2200 changes have been commited to the wok, and several
209 hundreds more to home-built tools. We are proud to announce that the SliTaz
210 community has grown a lot these last months: the last year, many
211 changes was commited than in the previous four. However, quantity doesn't mean
212 quality. We need you to help to test this new ISO and report eventual bugs. If
213 you want to, you are welcome to help fix known problems before 4.0 is released.

222 <p>The SliTaz team is pleased to announce the release of a new cooking ISO
223 featuring over 2600 packages. It contains Linux Kernel 2.6.34 and was
224 rebuilt with a new toolchain using glibc 2.11.2 and gcc 4.5.1. Xorg has
225 been fully updated to 1.9.2. The LiveCD includes Midori, the Deadbeef audio
226 player, and many more applications. Tazpkg and Tazctrlbox now support
227 gettext translations and more UTF locales have been added. Many bugfixes,
228 updates and improvements can also be found. A lot of work has been done
