1 Rust is a multi-paradigm, general-purpose programming language
2 designed for performance and safety, especially safe concurrency.
3 Rust is syntactically similar to C++, but can guarantee memory
4 safety by using a borrow checker to validate references.
5 Rust achieves memory safety without garbage collection, and
6 reference counting is optional.
7 Rust has been called a systems programming language and in
8 addition to high-level features such as functional programming
9 it also offers mechanisms for low-level memory management.
