1 Launch a subprocess in a pseudo terminal (pty), and interact with both
2 the process and its pty.
4 Sometimes, piping stdin and stdout is not enough.
5 There might be a password prompt that doesn't read from stdin, output
6 that changes when it's going to a pipe rather than a terminal,
7 or curses-style interfaces that rely on a terminal.
8 If you need to automate these things, running the process in a pseudo
9 terminal (pty) is the answer.
