1 Iptables is the userspace command line program used to configure
2 the Linux 2.4.x and later packet filtering ruleset.
3 It is targeted towards system administrators.
5 Since Network Address Translation is also configured from the packet
6 filter ruleset, iptables is used for this, too.
8 The iptables package also includes ip6tables. ip6tables is used for
9 configuring the IPv6 packet filter.
