1 Libnids is a library that provides a functionality of one of NIDS
2 (Network Intrusion Detection System) components, namely E-component.
3 It means that libnids code watches all local network traffic, cooks
4 received datagrams a bit (quite a bit ;)), and provides convenient
5 information on them to analyzing modules of NIDS.
7 Libnids performs:
8 a) assembly of TCP segments into TCP streams
9 b) IP defragmentation
10 c) TCP port scan detection
