1 The Liblouis software suite provides an open-source braille translator,
2 back-translator and formatter for a large number of languages and
3 braille codes.
4 It is a set of libraries designed for use in any of a number of
5 applications, both free and commercial.
6 It is written in C so that it does not require a runtime environment
7 and hence can be used in applications written in high-level languages
8 such as Java and Python.
