1 The FreeType engine is a free and portable font rendering engine, developed
2 to provide advanced font support for a variety of platforms and environments.
3 FreeType is a library which can open and manages font files as well as
4 efficiently load, hint and render individual glyphs. FreeType is not a font
5 server or a complete text-rendering library.
6 This version is compiled with the patented bytecode interpreter and subpixel
7 rendering enabled. It transparently overrides the system library using
8 ld.so.conf.d.
