     1.4 +makeself.sh is a small shell script that generates a self-extractable
     1.5 +compressed tar archive from a directory.
     1.6 +The resulting file appears as a shell script (many of those have a
     1.7 +.run suffix), and can be launched as is.
     1.8 +The archive will then uncompress itself to a temporary directory and
     1.9 +an optional arbitrary command will be executed (for example an
    1.10 +installation script). This is pretty similar to archives generated
    1.11 +with WinZip Self-Extractor in the Windows world.
