wok-next annotate linux/description.linux-zram.txt @ rev 19772

Convert linux-* packages into linux v2 receipt, as well as linux-libre-* -> linux-libre single receipt (is jumbo one, there's a room for huge optimizations, in the case if someone else need it...), move linux64* receipts outside the wok.

al@19595 1 # Compressed RAM block device support
al@19595 2
al@19595 3 Creates virtual block devices called /dev/zramX (X = 0, 1, ...). Pages written
al@19595 4 to these disks are compressed and stored in memory itself. These disks allow
al@19595 5 very fast I/O and compression provides good amounts of memory savings.
al@19595 6
al@19595 7 It has several use cases, for example: /tmp storage, use as swap disks and
al@19595 8 maybe many more.
